When I try to open this app it opens a blank screen. That’s it. So I’ve been using Sunrise on the web, which isn’t ideal.

So Microsoft bought this app, and now is integrating it into Outlook aka killing the Sunset app. Unfortunately, Redmond’s past history tells us that this will end in catastrophe, killing the nice, clean, useful app that was Sunrise and further bloating an already overbloated Outlook app. Sad. It works well right now, and hopefull will continue to do so for the time being. Only time will tell on that point. And to Redmond: booooo.
Great app. Love it. But, everytime I post a new event on the calendar it sends the event back a day. I cannot figure out why this occurs, but it is almost always impossible to fix. That makes the app prertty much unusable.
I preface this by saying if you (Sunrise) ever start charing for this app, please grandfather my account in as free for this review. :) This is incredible. I have 2 personal and 3 exchange calendars to keep track of. Currently my hotmail calendar is on the old (non Exchange) so my calendar doesn’t sync to my Mac on the default Mac calendar and EVEN Outlook 2016 for Mac if you can believe that. MS is supposed to convert all hotmail users to Exchange so eventually it will work but then Outlook barfs on Gmail calendar sync. Sunrise is the only Mac app I’ve seen for free that actually gives me a single view of all of my calendars (Hotmail, Gmail, 3x corporate Exchange accounts, and Facebook. This is just amazing. I never write reviews but I had to for this. Keep up the great development.
I seriously do – and I’ve tried a ton of them. One thing I’d love to see added is a “open hours” or “daily availability” option. A visual cue that allows me to see the break in my workday and personal day.
But it’s been sold to Microsoft.
I just recently purchased a Mac Book Air and this app will not work! So sad, I love this on my pc….I may give it a day or two and see if there is a bug or something that needs to be worked out before I unstall…
Sunrise developers have been absorbed by Microsoft and are now developing Outlook with the goal to incorporate Sunrise They have said on their blog, “There is sad news..we will not be developing Sunrise anymore”. Will I start using Outlook so I can see the scattered shreds of what Sunrise was? No. If “organization and productivity” were synonymous with overbloated, multitudinous, overwhelming, and hard to look at I would surely take the road to Outlook. Sunrise devs have effectively sacrificed their creation for absorption into a project that directly contradicts its existence. Sunrise was a well-designed app with a clean interface, direct usability from simplicity, and intuitive design. Outlook will never be that, and Sunrise developers are complicit in literally feeding their own creation, as a sacrificial snack, to Microsoft.
I wish I could have a window option that ONLY shows today. That would make this app perfect!
Sunrise doesnt support some types of calendars, such as ical subscriptions, so I mainly use it for scheduling meetings for my other calendars. The web version works really well, but the desktop version doesn alway sync. Since there havent been updates for more than half a year, it is clear that improving the app is not a major priority.
Wunderlist connection doesn’t work. Gives this error on phone and Mac: {"meta":{"code":400,"errorType":"Bad Request","errorMessage":"Malformed state parameter.”}}
