Decent, but lots of opportunities
My primary calendars are in Google, but within there I’ve got it pulling a couple different iCal calendars as well. I love Sunrise on my iOS devices, and I actually appreicate the syncing of the accounts so I don’t have to configure each of my devices/computers/etc, but the Mac App version is definitely a work in progress. The biggest issue is that closing the Sunrise window (Command-W) makes it impossible to access the calendar without then quitting the app and restarting. Other annoyances:
* It’d be nice to be able to set a map provider preference. For example, from the edit view of an event with a location, clicking on the address shows Apple Maps integration, and clicking directions from there opens in Maps. From the event view though, clicking the address opens it in Chrome and Google Maps (which is what I’d prefer in all case).
* No Notifications Center widget - it’s great that I didn’t have to reconfigure and add all the various accounts and calendars I use, but I can’t see them in the Notifications Center since there’s no widget. Which basically means I’ll have to go and configure the Apple Calendar app (and add the iCal calendars separately)
Unfortunately, with the aquisition of Sunrise by Microsoft, they’ve announced in the blog posts they’re not going to be working on the apps anymore, and are now part of the Outlook team :(
